South Hill Designs - British Blue Bracelet!

Well today is the day that I fly home from my trip to the USA. I love to visit America and meet up with my friends out there, and am always sad to come home, but I’m fiercely proud of being British, specifically English.

I have never considered living anywhere else, despite joking chats with my husband about being a test rider for Disney (another story!), and I love my homeland.

It’s often soggy and damp, there’s rarely any sunshine, but it’s lush and green. I live near mountains and the sea. There are castles in the village I live in, both modern and medieval. There’s a history to the UK that’s not matched elsewhere and I love it.

Often most of us live in our countries because someone else chose to. I live in the UK because my parents do, and their parents did and so one back.  I do know that somewhere back in my timeline someone came from France as my maiden name is a variation of a French name, but somewhere along the line they came here.

Is it a roll of the dice where we live?  I don’t know.  I know that I count my blessings that I do live here though. Fate could have had me living somewhere else where people aren’t so fortunate…

  1. Adorbs Sam, the only thing I wish it had was a Tardis, but then I’m a tad odd. I’m over the moon that you and the ladies had fun in my homeland and that your hard work was recognized. See you in Scottsdale in 2016.
